The Womens Institude gave money to U.N.I.C.E.F at Chritmas time that went towards a milk fund. Also the Womens Institude held a yearly Christmas party.

The Post Office in Spruce Grove was to recive a Christmas parcel for the St.Matthew Luthran Chruch that contained materials that the church need for their Christmas Eve Programe. However because the post office burnt down that year in November the Church did not recive the parcel.

During the great depression farmers did everything they coud to find ways to make moneny so that they could buy their children Christmas presents.

Canadien Girls In Training(CGIT) attended Christmas service at churches in Edmonton yearly.

The Spruce Grove Libary held an anual Christmas Carol Festival. It was first held on December 14th 1961 in the Queen Street School Gym. The Libary sold tickets for the Festival to rase money for new books. Ivan Jesperson was asked to conduct the evenings carol singing.

The Spruce Grove Legion donates money every year for Christmas Hampers to give to less fortunate people in our community.

The Childs Dad used to build a new fireplace right before Christmas. Also they Cut up meet and rapped it in Christmas paper. On Christmas Eve the family sat around the fire and sang Christmas Carols and listened to the Dad and Grampa tell their stories of adventure.
